osted the Greg Savitz and friends Charter for a Striper Liveline trip on Saturday 5/29. Sailing from our transient home at Clarks Landing, we broke the inlet and went searching for bait in the rain. With the livewell loaded we went back to the same area we had them for the past 2 days and only had one Striper which weighed in on Clarks Scale at 36#. We headed as far North as the Rocks with no other bass to show for our best efforts.
With the Bass bite off and a bushel of clams onboard in reserve, we made a quick drop for some Sea Bass. The guys added 9 keepers and threw back over two dozen before heading back to Manasquan Inlet taking the head sea on the chin all the way home.
Great bunch of guys who fished hard all day.
Dom did a great job in the cockpit yet again today.
